VEIL XIV

ONE OF A KIND

Made from dark cream antique lace and hand-finished in our London atelier, this veil is embellished with bronze and silver beads and crystals.

The inspiration was to create a tattoo-like story across the face and shoulders, using the original floral lace motifs to create a more graphic, almost drawn quality. Two flowers resting on each side of the veil, made from the same lace cuts.

The beading follows the same idea, with crystals and beads placed in uneven, asymmetrical formations to create shadows within the lace. The hems are cut into irregular triangular forms, taking inspiration from the geometric details and architectural rhythm of Venetian façades.

The veil is embroidered on both faces, allowing it to be worn in two ways. It can be positioned at the front of the face as a blusher, or styled simply as one back veil.

Discreet hair clips are integrated into the design and can be positioned at the sides of the head or brought together at the back.

The lace has been worked in two pieces and is exclusive to The Veil XIV and The Veil XV.

 

This order includes a head mannequin designed to display and preserve the veil when it is not being worn.
